Motivational Monday: Ukulele Boy

by Brett McQueen

Every Monday, I want to do a mini-motivational. These posts might include some interesting videos of people playing ukulele, and some very inspiring thoughts from yours truly (we’re talking “blow-your-mind” material here, folks). Well, that’s the goal anyways.

This wouldn’t be a ukulele blog unless I showed the famous ukulele boy playing a rendition of Jason Mraz’s I’m Yours. See for yourself.

The kiddo’s cuteness factor far surpasses his skills, but considering his age, he’s doing absolutely fantastic, wouldn’t you say?

The thing I like most about this boy though is not so much his skills, but rather, you can tell he puts his whole heart into playing his instrument. It’s clear he doesn’t care what other people think, and that’s exactly what makes him so freaking awesome.

You might be thinking: Come on. He’s just a kid and doesn’t know any better.

You might be right, but if you’re unwilling to take risks and invest your whole heart into something, out of fear of failure or what other people might think, then it is you who is missing out. Be willing to look like a little silly and make some mistakes. Life’s only better that way.
